About AllerGuard<\/h2><\/div>

AllerGuard has a unique textile weave that acts as a barrier against dust mites, pollutants and allergens. The fabric is made of millions of microfibers many times thinner than a human hair, woven so tightly that nothing with a diameter greater than 0.1 micron (\u00b5m = my) is able to penetrate. <\/p>\n

The extremely dense weave and a special arrangement of fibers without added chemicals guarantee high tightness against microparticles, but allow the transport of air and moisture, which is why AllerGuard products are also very comfortable to use.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Protection AFTER washing<\/h2><\/div>

Laboratory tests at ALK show that AllerGuard\u00ae maintains 98.2% tightness against microparticles with a diameter of 0.1 \u03bcm, even after 50 washes, and for particles with a diameter of 0.5 \u03bcm, the tightness is as high as 99.6%.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Oeko-Tex<\/h2><\/div>

AllerGuard is of course Oeko-Tex certified<\/strong>, according to Standard 100<\/strong>. This is one of the world’s toughest environmental tests for problematic substances in textiles. Especially in bedding, the dangerous chemicals are problematic, as the fabric is in contact with the skin for many hours at a time. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Fire Safety<\/h2><\/div>

AllerGuard products are fire tested to the strict British Standards: BS EN ISO 12952:2010 Part 1<\/strong>. This means extra safety for you and your family, and that all products can be used in hotels, hospitals, care centers, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

UKCA- and CE Marking<\/h2><\/div>

AllerGuard is UKCA marked as Class 1 Medical Device 1 in conformity with the UK Medical Devices Regulations 2002 (UK MDR 2002) and is classified by the British GMDN Agency.<\/p>\n

AllerGuard is CE marked as a Class I Medical Device in conformity with the EU Directive MDR 2017\/745.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

House Dust Mite Barrier<\/h2><\/div>

The German Hohenstein Institute has tested AllerGuard’s ability as a House Dust and Mite barrier against the product’s ability to protect against allergens with real house dust mite excrement.
