Product safety
AllerGuard products are classified as Medical Devices by the British GMDN Agency, the Danish Medicines Agency and EURAMED.

Washing instructions
AllerGuard withstands washing up to 60 °C.
Also avoid filling the washing machine completely. Max. 80%. This way you give the bedding optimal conditions to be washed thoroughly and hygienically clean.
All our duvets can be tumble dried. (select 600-800 rpm to reduce creasing)
We recommend air drying.
When tumble drying, we recommend that you select “iron dry” and let the cover air dry to remove any remaining moisture. This will reduce wrinkling and shrinkage.
Dry the duvet thoroughly: Dry the duvet thoroughly in the dryer on low heat. Use dryer balls or tennis balls to prevent the filling from clumping together.
Make sure the duvet is completely dry to avoid mold and bad odors. Repeat the drying process if necessary.
The warranty is void if you use optical brighteners, bleach or fabric softeners.
If necessary, use stain remover before washing.
Use the right detergent: Use a detergent that is suitable for delicate materials, such as down or silk.
AllerGuard® allergen-protective covers are made of microfiber fabric that prevents dust particles as small as 0.5 microns (μ) from penetrating the cover. This significantly reduces contact with house dust mite allergens, which are on average 1-3 microns and are often found in mattresses, duvets and pillows.
At the same time, the surface structure and air and water vapor permeability of the AllerGuard® fabric ensure that the health aspects and hygiene are not reduced.
Application
Used in cases of confirmed or suspected house dust mite allergy, which leads to symptoms such as difficulty breathing, runny nose, eczema; or if a general improvement of the indoor climate in the bedroom is simply desired by reducing the dust load in the air.
Seek advice from your doctor or AllerGuard if you are in doubt.
Use precautions and maintenance
The performance of the allergen-protective cover depends to a large extent on the ability to retain (dust) particles, and the duvets should not be too tight, as this increases the pressure load which could theoretically push allergen particles through the fabric, stitching or zipper.
Avoid sharp objects or other objects that could damage the surface, seams or zippers.
Never place the duvet near strong heat sources (90°C or hotter) or in UV rays (sunlight) for too long periods at a time, as this can shorten the life of the cover.
The AllerGuard® duvet does not require any special maintenance to maintain the allergen-protective function, but for general hygiene it can be washed in a normal household machine at 40-60°C.
The duvet’s microfiber means that it air-drys quickly after washing. For even faster drying, you can use a tumble dryer set to low to medium heat.
If you are very allergic to dust/house dust mites, it is recommended to use a dust mask when removing and installing the duvet cover to avoid contact with dust particles that can be stirred up from the mattress.
Renew your duvet when and if critical defects, such as holes or visible wear, occur due to accidents or improper use. Such defects will reduce protection against allergens.
It is recommended to use AllerGuard® duvets on all mattresses, as otherwise the overall effect may be impaired.

There are no health risks or other side effects associated with the use of AllerGuard® allergen-protective covers, as they comply with the standards for normal bedding comfort.
